You should ALWAYS keep an emergency kit stored in your vehicle! This is especially true during the winter months, when temperatures can become dangerous if you are not dressed for the weather, or if you become stranded for an extended period of time.
Washer Fluid
Make sure it is always topped up and keep a spare jug in your vehicle at all times in case you run out.
Clean Off Vehicle
Make sure before you leave your properly clean off all the ice and snow on your vehicle and keep that snow brush with you in case it snows while you are on the road.
Owner’s Manual
Do you know how to change a flat tire? Read your owner’s manual so you know how to Make sure you know where your spare tire, jack and tire iron are.
Extra Clothing
If you are traveling somewhere with little traffic, where you could be abandoned, make sure you have some extra boots, warm clothing, and blankets.
Cell Phone Charger
We usually don’t go anywhere without our cell phones. However, if you have a dead cell phone, this is no good for you during an emergency. Always have an extra charger in your vehicle.
Shovel
If you are actually buried in snow, a shovel or a collapsable shovel should be stored in your car to use if you need to dig yourself out.
